"Story So Far, The" by Earsauce (Accoustic Artist)

The excellent Folk CD, "Story So Far, The," by Earsauce, is overflowing with beautiful songs that will seep gently into your soul. The talented duo, Evan Valentine and Steve Bower, really know how to comprise an album of well crafted music. Each song has a different groove and one can't help but sit back and enjoy these delight songs. Opening up the album the song, "Beyond a Broken Dream," is sweet and delicate in style as the percussive drums keep a rhythmic beat while the soothing melody calms your inner being. Another song, "Sultans of Salad," offers charming lyrics, sweet vocals, and a fun bouncy rhythm. "Criterion," is another track that ignites with a rich musical complexity. Changing up the musical style, "Where's My Lime?," has a mellow, kick back and relax tonality. If you are searching for an album that has a terrific mix of relaxing music, then you will truly enjoy the wonderful songs on the marvelous album, "Story So Far, The."

"El paso del tiempo - [Digital Single]" by Brand New Brain (Accoustic Artist from U.S.A)

Brand New Brain releases an excellent Acoustic Rock song, "El paso del tiempo-Single." This song marks a time when the band was in disarray so an acoustic version was created. The song title, translated, means the passage of time, is sung with strong lead vocals that deftly sing the emotive lyrics with appealing style. This song, which is sung in Spanish, has an edgy Rock flair that is similar to bands such as Alice In Chains or Pearl Jam. The relaxed acoustic instrumentation complements the expressive lyrics with a free flowing rhythm. It also shows the talent these musicians have to offer as they take a song and give it a fresh, new stylish approach. If you like smooth Acoustic Rock music, then you will enjoy the terrific song, "El paso del tiempo-Single."

"Begin 2" by Mike Roos & The Dry Bed String Band (Acoustic Artist from Ohio)

The talented group, Mike Roos & The Dry Bed String Band, release another excellent Folk/Rock CD, "Begin 2." This album is comprised of well written songs that explore into some themes of major events while also looking into spiritual and thoughtful matters. You will also like the assortment of instrumentation this album has to offer such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and dobro. The song, "New Orleans," catches your ear with its bouncy beat and fun lyrics that are sung with strong tonality. "New Orleans," has a nice bluesy feel and another song with thought provoking lyrics. There is Country flair on the song, "I Like the Buddha," as this song has those fun loving lyrics and vibrant rhythm. You will find the terrific Folk/Rock album, "Begin 2," a collection of music embedded with charming lyrics, charismatic vocals, and a fine cast of musicians.

"Quiet Girl" by Jude Johnstone (Folk Artist)

The extremely talented singer/songwriter, Jude Johnstone, releases another brilliant Folk CD, "Quiet Girl." This album is a beautiful collection of songs that fuses together Johnstone's rich vocals with her reflective and melodic lyrics. You will also hear the talents of some special guest artists such as Emmylou Harris and Clarence Clemons. Opening up the album, the title track, "Quiet Girl," reels you in with its charming bouncing beat that swirls around the engaging vocals with a delightful tonality. Another song, "Don't Wake Me Up," offers Johnstone's magnetic vocals singing with a strong and powerful expression as this song has some thought provoking lyrics. Showing a soulful side, the song, "It's Gonna Take a While," has passionate vocals cascading around the bass, guitar, and soft drums with an expressive vitality. "Dancing on the Moon" by Lisa Bell (Rock Artist from Colorado)

Talented singer/songwriter Lisa Bell releases another outstanding CD, "Dancing on the Moon," that is overflowing with a superb blend of Blues, Jazz, and Pop music. Bell takes these genres and creates an album that is sheer entertainment. The opener/title track, ""Dancing on the Moon," grabs you right from the start as Bell's vocals are rich and soulful while the rhythm flows with an expressive groove. The song, "Change is Free," has a Bluesy tonality as Bell sings this catchy melody with refreshing flair. "Stand Up," is a song that moves with a bouncy beat as Bells excellent vocals are complemented by the dynamically balanced instruments. This album offers a hypnotic fusion of finely crafted songs that is well produced. If you like wonderful Blues, Jazz, and Pop music all wrapped up into one CD, then you will really enjoy the excellent album, "Dancing on the Moon."

"In My Right Mind" by Mary Beth Cross (Acoustic Artist from Colorado)

The recently released CD, "In My Right Mind," by talented vocalist Mary Beth Cross, is comprised of beautiful Contemporary Folk music. Cross creatively blends her well written original compositions with familiar standards throughout this album. The opener/title track, "In My Right Mind," flows with a nice vibrant energy while Cross sings with a sweet and charming style. Cross takes her roots of living in the country and artistically writes some thought provoking lyrics as you can hear on the song, "Paint the Sky." This song has some nice Country flavors with rootsy instrumentation. Her rendition of the classic song, "Amazing Grace," is quite moving as she sings with a gentle and emotive tonality. You can also hear tones of Celtic ambiance collectively mixed with Country flair on this wonderful song. You will thoroughly enjoy the entertaining collection of Folk songs on the album, "In My Right Mind," especially if you are a fan of Mary Chapin Carpenter.
